Eastern Connecticut State University recently released its spring 2018 Dean's List for full-time students.

University of North Georgia (UNG) President Bonita C. Jacobs recognized more than 1,300 students who achieved a 4.0 GPA during the spring 2018 semester. Students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours in bachelor's degree programs who achieved a 4.0 grade point average were named to the President's Honor Roll. Students enrolled in associate degree programs who met the same level of achievement were named to the President's List.

The deans of each of UNG's five colleges - the College of Arts & Letters, the College of Education, the College of Health Sciences & Professions, the Mike Cottrell College of Business, and the College of Science & Mathematics - announced the names of those students who made their respective lists for spring 2018. Dean's List recognition is achieved by having at least a 3.5 grade point average, carrying 12 or more credit hours in one semester and having no grade lower than B.

Three from the University of North Georgia (UNG) have been named finalists for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, while a fourth was selected as an alternate and four others as semifinalists.

The following local residents made the Spring 2018 Academic Achievement List at Georgia Southwestern State University and were among over 600 students recognized for scholastic achievement.

Eastern Connecticut State University recognized the academic achievements of African, Latino, Asian and Native American students on May 5 during its sixth annual Inclusive Excellence Awards ceremony. Award were given out and more than 200 students were recognized for achieving GPAs of 3.5 or higher.

To best depict what diversity looks like through art, students in Kennesaw State's College of the Arts created art pieces as part of the inaugural Diversity Arts Competition and Show, sponsored by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. Student artists competed for votes from the campus community, and six winners - two for first, second and third place - were selected. More than 300 undergraduate students presented their research at the Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference (GSURC) on Thursday, April 12. Students from a wide variety of disciplines shared their findings through oral presentations, posters, artistic displays and musical performances.

Sixteen Kennesaw State students competed in a University-sponsored exercise, The Three Minute Thesis (3MT), a research communication competition developed by the University of Queensland.

The University of Evansville Eta Lambda Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing recently inducted new members.

Kennesaw State University is being represented by nearly 100 students this week at the 2018 National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) in Edmond, Oklahoma. More than 4,000 students from 400 colleges and universities are presenting their research April 4-7 at the prestigious annual conference. With 93 students attending, Kennesaw State's number of participants is second only to the host institution, the University of Central Oklahoma.
